Ms. Deborah Cecil
About The Lecturer I
Deborah Cecil was born in Triumph Village on the East Coast Demerara, Guyana. She attended Mon Repos Primary School and later Bishop’s High School. She won the British Commonwealth Scholarship and graduated with BEng (Hons) in Chemical and Process Engineering at University of Newcastle Upon Tyne U.K. in(1990).
Deborah Cecil is the Dean of extension campus (Guyana) Life Christian University (Tampa, Florida) located on the East Bank of Demerara. She holds the Bachelor of Arts Degree and the Master of Arts Degree in Theology and is successfully pastoring a church in Mon Repos along with her husband.
Some of her research areas are effective teaching methods and solar drying techniques. She is currently pursuing a Master’s Degree in Environmental Engineering at the University of Guyana. She is a lecturer within the Faculty of Technology, Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Guyana.
She is the mother of two beautiful children and is married to the prolific author and poet Gideon Cecil.
