| Mature applicants (21 years or older), who do not posses any of the academic qualification set out in 1 to 6 above may be considered for admission, provided they posses relevant technical qualification and experience. Such applicants will be required to pass the University of Guyana Entrance Examination. |

| Applicants who do not have the required pass grade in either English Language or Science or Mathematics, but who have five (5) other subjects which are acceptable for admissions to the University of Guyana, may apply. Such Applicant must successfully complete the relevant foundation courses (English Language or Mathematics or Chemistry or Physics) being offered by the Institute of Distance and Continuing Education (IDCE) or pass the relevant qualifying examination for entrance to the Faculty of Technology. |
